Our Building

Our building doesn’t look like a traditional church.  You might walk past and not realize that behind the doors is a church sanctuary and a lively church congregation. The decision of the congregation in 1970 to replace the old stone church that was gradually sinking into the quicksand of Junction Creek with a multipurpose complex was very boldly taken.

As a result the building known as St. Andrew’s Place is the home of commercial tenants, 149 apartments for seniors, a senior’s centre, a restaurant and more. Inside the front doors, signage will direct you to the church sanctuary, a beautiful space that serves many purposes aside from worship each Sunday.

Our hopes and dreams are to be a place where God’s presence can be felt in the downtown of Sudbury and where all our spiritual journeys are nurtured and celebrated.

Our commitment is to be inclusive, to reach out, to listen to questions, to work for justice, to support those in our community of St. Andrew’s, and to be an expression of the Christian faith in the context of downtown ministry.
