In-person worship canceled until further notice, but still livestreaming

To the St. Andrew’s congregation:

In light of Dr. Sutcliffe’s December 8th announcement on behalf of Public Health Sudbury and Districts, St. Andrew’s United Church will not be offering in-person worship services until further notice.

You can join us for worship on our YouTube channel for the following services, both live streamed and later posted:

Sunday December 19: This service will be live-streamed on our YouTube channel, starting at 10:30 am.

Friday, December 24: Our Christmas Eve family worship will be live-streamed on our YouTube channel, starting at 5 pm.

Sunday, December 26: St. Andrew’s will share the link to a pre-recorded service with contributions from St. Andrew’s and other local United Churches that will be posted on St. Mark’s United Church’s YouTube channel. Link will be posted when received.

Sunday, January 2: This service will be live-streamed on our YouTube channel, starting at 10:30 am.

January 9 and beyond: No decision has been made regarding in-person worship.

The Emergency Planning Committee and Church Council will continue to monitor the Public Health announcements on a regular basis in preparation for their next meeting on Thursday January 6th, and will provide further updates when new information becomes available.

Making the “right” decisions is often not easy. But we feel that our call as Christians is to have the courage of our convictions, and your leaders at St. Andrew’s feel that it is an important time to affirm the Health Unit message that community well-being is most important, even as we yearn to get together.-

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please contact either of us by phone – 705-674-0721, ext. 101.
